About THE DRESSMAKERS:
THE DRESSMAKERS, a feature-length documentary, contrasts the slow pace of artisanal clothes-making with the fast pace of the competitive textiles industry in Morocco, inviting a re-examination of the values represented by the clothing that people wear.
THE DRESSMAKERS is a Light Projects Documentary, directed by Shara K. Lange. Director of Photography--Daniel H. VanZant, Editor--Jeremy Dehn, Design--Lily Rodriguez, Sound Design & Mix--Korey Pereira, Illustrations--Beth Frey, Graphics and Animations--Jose David Garcia Gilling, Translations--Simo Ouazzani, Sumayya Ahmed and Hamadouche Beticha, Production Assistance--Anita Prewett, Javier Bonafont, and Joanna Rabiger. Production support came from a Fulbright Grant and MACECE, the American Institute of Maghreb Studies.
